Seeped in Story: A Collage & Tea Gathering

Over 200 collages have already been created by people in West Palm Beach, FL; Alexandria, VA; and Asheville, NC—and now it’s your turn to join the movement.

We invite you to a Collective Collage Art & Tea Gathering led by Mad.E, artist and curator, and Alissa Zemering, Creative Arts Therapist.

You’ll be working with a rich archive: a full collection of National Geographic magazines from 1982–2016, discovered by Mad.E on the side of the road in her hometown of Vienna, VA, seven years ago. What began as a spontaneous rescue has grown into an expansive art initiative with a big vision—to create 10,000 collages that will come together as a powerful, large-scale installation honoring collective creativity and personal expression.
